"innovation of interior" at interzum 2009

Innovative materials and components for modern interior fittings. A presentation the likes of which has never been seen before will make a visit to interzum 2009 an extraordinary event for architects and decision-makers in the property area.

The interzum trade fair in Cologne, the leading trade-fair event for suppliers for furniture production and interior furnishings, offers visitors from more than 140 countries the latest trends and ideas for designing the habitats of tomorrow ­­­.

The versatile materials and innovative application ideas the interzum exhibitors have that offer are of great interest, particularly for creative professionals and planners. In 2009, for the first time, these will be assembled in a completely new event, the "innovation of interior" project.

Spanning four coordinated thematic areas, event zones, visitors will be shown suggested uses and solution approaches, all of it embedded in a top-flight array of accompanying events­­­.

The focus is thus upon integrated-interdisciplinary points of view – with an emphasis upon the interaction between innovative design and technological or societal change. This ambitious project is intended especially for architects, interior designers, designers, and project and product developers, and it represents a highlight of the upcoming interzum trade fair ( Cologne, Germany, May 13-16, 2009).

The Architects' Association of North Rhine-Westphalia has already decided to hold its Interior Designer Day 2009 at "innovation of interior."­­­

The overall project includes, among other things, a "Guide to Architecture und Design" tailored to the interests of interior designers, a "Creative Lounge" as a part of trade-fair goings-on, and presentations of materials by manufacturers with proven relevance for the worlds of architecture and design.
